Double crossed

Have you ever been backstabbed?
Well, with the latest trend of being "two - faced", i'm sure everyone reading this, might have been a victim, atleast once in the past.

I'd like for you to read the following story.

There was a foreigner. She shifted to India, and didn't have many friends.
She liked a boy, and she was very upfront about it.
The boy was dating a pretty girl, and he thought it'd be fun, if his girlfriend, and his admirer became friends.
So, he introduced them to each other.
Months passed by, and surprisingly these girls, became the best of friends.
The girl broke up with her boyfriend, yet continued being friends with his admirer.

The foreigner although, wasn't familiar with the "Best Friend Code", which stated that any ex of your bestfriend, is off limits.
She continued to like this boy, and hung out with him, knowing that her best friend would be uncomfortable with it.
But, the bestfriend was forgiving, and chose to turn away from the reality.

Years later, they were still thick friends.
The foreigner was still single, but the other girl found another suitable boy.
She planned out an entire future with him.
And, being the better friend that she is, she chose to introduce her bestfriend and boyfriend.

Months later, they drifted apart. She expected her friend to stand by her side, and be there for her.
But guess what she did?

She not only wasn't there for her friend, but, she started hanging out with her bestfriend's ex.  They started calling each other family.
And the bestfriend was dumped, yet again

What do you make, out of all that ?
Double crossed, by the same girl.
Like wow!
Betrayal.
The worst part about betrayal, is that it never comes from the people you think are your enemies.
I suppose people usually follow this quote that goes something like this :

"Intelligent people Ignore"

Well, i suppose it was hard for me to take it all in.
Forgiving and ignoring might be the safest option.

All i can say is, never trust a person of the same gender TOO much.
Yes, there can be a TOO much, sometimes.
#stay safe. Keep yourself safe.
And, don't invest yourself too much into a person.
 REMEMBER :
